Tomas Bata University in Zlín hosted a working meeting of representatives of the WP4 working group within the European university alliance PIONEER Alliance from 16 to 18 June 2026. The event brought together representatives from ten partner institutions to discuss the further development of international educational activities in the field of Challenge-Based Education (CBE), innovative teaching tools and opportunities for cooperation in the area of joint degree programmes.
The meeting programme included work on a dedicated didactic toolbox, the development of a train-the-trainer concept and discussions on innovative approaches to teaching and learning. Participants also addressed the continuing professional development needs of academic staff and explored opportunities for creating joint degree programmes within the PIONEER Alliance. In addition, they discussed strategic issues related to the Alliance’s future direction and validated key WP4 performance indicators.
The meeting therefore represented an important milestone in strengthening international cooperation among partner universities and in expanding educational opportunities for both students and academic staff.
By hosting this event, Tomas Bata University in Zlín reaffirmed its active role within the PIONEER Alliance and its commitment to helping shape a modern, flexible and internationally connected higher education environment.
