Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), 14 – 18 March 2022 ISCTE
Short blended intensive programme (BIP) is organized by ISCTE Instituto Universitário de Lisboa, Portugal. This BIP is about sustainability, that will include some sessions, collaborative workshops and study visits to services and programmes in this field. Subthemes to be included: Social Work, Sociology, Public Policy, Political Science, African Studies, Architecture, Data Science, Public Administration.
During BIP, a group of students will undertake 6 days physical mobility at Iscte combined with a compulsory virtual component that will count towards the overall learning outcomes. The program for mobility week contains lectures, collaboratory workshops, laboratory work and study visits. Students also will do an independent assignment.
The planning of this BIP program started from the interest in gaining new knowledge and competence in sharing theory as well as good practices in development work and innovations of wellbeing services (social services). The focus is on sustainability and social interventions.

Participants
Between 15 and 25 Bachelor, Master and/or PhD students in the fields of Social Work, Sociology, Public Policy, Political Science, African Studies, Architecture, Data Science and Humanitarian Action.
Credits: 6 ECTS
Hours: 50 hours of studying in total
(Classes 5h + laboratory 6h + workshops 9h + fieldwork (tbc) + autonomous work 44h)
Financial Support
Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (coordinating HEI):
Organisational support(i) amount of 6.000,00€, with 15 funded participants.
Participating Students:
Students can receive an Erasmus+ grant from their home university according to base amounts of individual support set as follows: 70 EUR per day of the physical activity(ii)
Programme
(i) The organisational support grant for blended intensive programmes is a contribution to any cost incurred by the institutions involved in relation to the organisation of the blended intensive programmes, such as costs related to the preparation, design, development, implementation and follow-up of the programmes, including the delivery of physical and virtual/remote activities as well as the overall management and coordination.
(ii) Special conditions for students with fewer opportunities
Special conditions to individual support for green travel – students who do not receive travel support can opt for green travel. In this case, they will receive a single contribution of 50 EUR as a top-up amount to the individual support and up to 4 days of additional individual support to cover travel days for a return trip, if relevant.
